Permitting and site development process was included in planning phase. (See below "Project Section" for details)Peripheral Canal:Planned and Designed theoretical Peripheral Canal that would carry water from Northern California to Southern California. Canal ways were designed via HEC-RAS and EPA-NET. (See below "Project Section" for detailsSteel Bridge Design:Designed a steel bridge truss system with a span of 100 foot span supported by two steel bents. The objective was to create a bridge as light as possible using steel grade 50 while supporting a 5 kip live load that would transfer from end to end. (See below "Project Section for details)Water Sub-catchment Project: Analysed the South Babb Creek sub-catchment in San Jose California for a theoretical peak flow hyetograph analysed by HEC-HMS and highest runoff for a P-year flood in the area. These result would be compared to actual recorded results of the sub-catchment. (See below "Project Section" for details)Soil Mechanics Lab:Design components of the soil mechanics lab included consideration for soil improvements (compaction), expected settlements, foundation design, basement retaining wall design, design recommendations for the swimming pool shell.Environmental Filter Project:Designed and Constructed an Environmental Filter with six layers consisting of gravel, sand, carbon, cotton strips and filter paper to remove debris, taste and odor from local storm water. The project was intended to pass water for bacterial and viral cleansing.
