Since 1998, Alexika has provided professional translation and language services for businesses seeking to improve their international reach. From simple phrases to complex, technical content, we translate into and from all major business languages of the world, including European and Asian.After completing a month-long placement at Alexika as part of my MA studies at Lancaster University, I began working full-time at the company - initially as maternity cover and then on a permanent basis - at the beginning of June 2017. My role generally includes:- Managing translation projects on the company's project management system- Meticulously proofreading translations and checking queries with translators before delivery- Preparing quotations and confirming orders for clients- Allocating work to freelance linguists and preparing files for translation (often using SDL Trados Studio)- Handling translator recruitment for the company in accordance with our ISO 9001 accreditation.
