Kiepe electric UK limited (formerly known as vossloh) is an industry leader in rail engineering integration and rolling stock enhancement.Kiepe electric UK limited has won a £40m programme to fit 91 units with its advanced energy-saving traction equipment. The Class 455 trains will be one of the first EMU fleets in the UK to benefit from a state of the art upgrade featuring regenerative braking.Currently employed by Kiepe to run stage 1 of the complex traction modification. Stage 1 of the build includes complete strip out of under frame of the MOS of both electrical and mechanical components, plasma cutting and grinding of existing brackets and then the mechanical rebuild of the modification. This includes anything from new trimmers for components as well as fitting new boxes. All work carried out is in accordance with technical diagrams and work instructions. As well as overseeing the build for stage 1 other duties include quality checks of allWork carried out, plan daily and weekly work activities and associated resources, ensure all paperwork is carried out and the team have access to up to date work instructions and adhere to them. In charge of all tooling and stores allocated to the stage and the welfare of all team members.Recently trained forklift operator.
