I was approached by the company in 2018 and asked if I was interested in helping set up a UK repair facility to manage all UK repairs and to provide local support for their large customer base. This included creating a fully operational ESD workshop where all products could be serviced and repaired without the need to ship items overseas. Responsibilities include: - Day to day management of the repair workshop and technicians. - On site repairs and technical support as well as remotely via phone or TeamViewer.- On site commissioning of their systems at the start of projects or after major modifications. - Delivering on site and remote technical training for customers (Engineering and Driver Managers).- Assisting customers with analysing of their OTDR data after incidents or during fault finding.- Assisting the engineering team with configuration changes, system tests and documentation for after sales projects.- Supporting the UK sales team with technical queries.- Preparing for and supporting customer and quality audits
