I handle all UK accounts for Non-theatrical screenings. Licensing film titles for indoor and outdoor screening events.I am also responsible for bringing in new accounts and growing and strengthening existing ones. This includes researching into new titles which would prove popular for our customers and researching the rights and the licensing periods.

• Maintaining accurate and regular communication flow to marketing teams on all projects
• Assistance to the territories worldwide with any clearance issues they may have, as well as establishing strong contacts with their various teams.
• Seeking clearances for major releases such as boxsets and product campaigns, containing both Universal and third party label repertoire.
• Establishing third party contacts for rare and unreleased material for Universal releases
• Negotiating royalty rates, advances and contracts with third parties for both licensing in and licensing out.
• Drawing up Licensing Agreements to issue to third party labels and ensuring advances are invoiced and paid in a timely manner

• Liaising with artist’s management with the view to obtaining permission to use either Universal Music UK, or other Universal Music Group International tracks for international compilation projects.
• Working closely with Licensing colleagues and UMSM Product Managers to effectively clear repertoire in line with key project timescales.
• Helping Universal employee’s world-wide to determine rights for tracks and helping with any other queries that arise.
• Updating and maintaining records of cleared projects so if a problem or question with that project arises details will be easily accessible.
• General administrative duties, including filing finished projects in alphabetical and numerical order.
• To carry out any other reasonable instruction as directed by the Assistant Licensing Manager

• Assisting and advising Product Managers in how to put together and shape a track listing.
• Contacting Artists Management for use of their client’s track and negotiating royalty price. This also includes drawing up Artist Management letters for artists or managements approval.
• Speaking and negotiating with other Labels (both major and independent) for use of tracks on either our own or their compilations. Drawing up deal memo documents for the companies to sign, which must be then filed.
• Using the main database system (GCDB) to enter compilation requests and to clear UK tracks.
• Use of all the main electronic systems.
• Supplying label copy and generating physical and electronic product codes.
