My role at Currys/PC World was as a “Knowhow Technician”. My daily role consisted of setting up new laptops/desktops/tablets either that a customer has purchased, or a new machine for display purposes. This set up process generally involves installing various additional software/hardware, such as Microsoft Office and printers, and customising the machines to the customer's needs. I also performed repairs, ranging from replacing hardware components, to virus removal on computers. Another part of my role was to support customers/colleagues on various devices, either via the phone, email, or in person.
