Leading an engineering team that interrogate the requirements fed into PMO and provide a solution that satisfies cost, timing, manufacturing and quality requirements to ensure a robust end product that fulfils our customer’s brief. The role involves constant liaison with PMO, Purchasing, body builders and end customers and necessitates having a close relationship with our manufacturing colleagues in Steyr, Austria as well as component and feature suppliers.

Managing the research, engineering development, engineering release and product delivery of the Body & Exterior systems on the Arrival Van. This led into being the whole vehicle Engineering Lead for composite technologies on the Arrival Van and deployment of the microfactory manufacturing blueprint, unique to ArrivalAdditional responsibilities include:- Launching a new manufacturing model (microfactory) from empty building to functioning production line- Leading all DFM reviews both internally and externally- Managing and integrating into production any SOP-ready material research projects into the Arrival Van- Ensuring any job-stoppers are dealt with in a quick and robust way - often by getting hands-on myself and thinking outside the box to get it done

Managing the research, engineering development and product delivery of the Generation 2 lightweight platform architecture - specifically on Arrival Van.Responsibilities include:- Working alongside the CEO, Directors and Product Owners to build the products and technologies that are to be implemented into Arrival vehicles- Managing the engineering, design and development of the Arrival Van project- Leading cross-functional workstreams across all aspects of the business domestically and internationally- Liasing with suppliers and feeding customer requirements into the product- Leading all procurement and commercial workstreams- Delivery of robust programme gateways in line with business timing requirements- Managing all aspects of prototype builds from pre-concept to SOP
