    Developed a Matlab optimization toolbox for the analysis and control of color-tunable LED lights. This includes an easy to use GUI which calculates coordinates in various color spaces and other useful color science metrics from inputted spectral data. It is also capable of optimizing lights based on parameters of Color Rendering Index, Just-Noticeable color difference (JND), Power, Luminous Efficacy of Radiation, Gamut Area Index, and Color Quality Scale. Users can customize the optimization with any combination of weights and constraints. I also experimented with real world applications for these LED optimizations, such as daylighting controls.

I repaired and improved a previously abandoned OpenGL application which visualized the group's data.I also analyzed data from the new Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fibre Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) survey. I attempted to identify stars belonging to little-known galactic substructures in the Milky Way Halo.
