Responsible for writing design documents from high level requirements. Extracted and refactored code from old service to the new service. Modify existing tests. Smoke tested service in development, before deploying in staging and production.* Won first place in a company-wide AI hackathon. My team developed an innovative application that generates keywords from product images using GPT-4 Vision and Claude to enhance search relevance.

I did an official co-op over the summer writing more code for the Journal My Health team. This time I worked on programmatically generating PDFs and re-designing an admin dashboard.

Chariot Solutions is a software development consulting firm. Over winter break I returned to Chariot to continue my work on the Journal My Health app for Android that enables patients to keep a journal of their health data and events. My projects included building new features in Kotlin to align the Android version with the iOS version. Features included blood pressure and pulse trackers, graphs and charts for visualizing past data, opt-in/opt-out for weather and FitBit, menus for weather and FitBit, and a working diagnosis page.

ECRI is a nonprofit that tests the quality and safety of healthcare products and systems. I joined as an intern to modernize their Alert iOS app that sends alerts related to healthcare product defects or recalls, which included updating from iOS 11 to iOS 15, updating CocoaPods and dependencies, and replacing deprecated Swift code with newer API calls. I also improved unit tests and was able to gain additional exposure to Docker, Git, Conventional Commits, Git rebasing, and GitLab runners.

In my first internship with Chariot I performed development work for the Journal My Health app for Android.
