I started my career as an apprentice in Electronic Fire And Security. Working with colleagues to install, service and maintain electronic fire and security systems.Working with leading providers during my apprenticeship helped me to gain the knowledge and experience to quickly progress my career as an engineer. Having been exposed to almost all disciplines in the industry I’ve developed a very strong confidence to take on just about any task or project given to me.During my career I also had the opportunity to work along side a leading electrical company which sits proudly on its accreditation and reviews. This helped me gain a very good understanding of the electrical engineering industry. My role included a very hands on approach often complemented by my qualified colleagues and superiors. Throughout my career I have proudly achieved qualifications, certifications and had the opportunity to complete many health and safety courses.My favourite part of my job is working on systems that clients and other engineers have given up on, reviving equipment condemned by engineers over the years. I enjoy nothing more than hearing “we’ve had five engineers try to fix this” from clients. I also have a very strong interest in data and infrastructure of IT systems. I’m very lucky to have had many opportunities to build a very strong understanding of how different systems not only work but integrate with a wide variety of hardware and software.
