I was a shift supervisor at Kaby Engineers responsible for all turning operators over a single shift. My duties were to ensure daily targets were met and to carry out meetings each day to assess how the previous day had gone and to ensure everyone in the team understood the successes and shortfalls and how to implement recovery plans where necessary. Problem solving and also filling out daily activity sheets for myself and others on my shift and then submitting them to management prior to the overall weekly production meeting. I was also responsible for programming and setting CNC machines, where necessary, and carrying out continuous improvement activities. This included operator efficiencies, operator training and combining operations to improve efficiency and reduce multi handling of products with many operations. I undertook training in resetting linear scales and resetting turrets as part of the maintenance regime on the machines that I was responsible for during set ups.

I was responsible for COSHH requirements, H & S requirements and personal protective equipment for my team. I am currently being trained on aspects of maintenance on all key equipment to include planned preventative maintenance etc. Uniseal closed down in April 2019 to take operations to Poland
