2nd Vacation PlacementWorley Parsons 12-week Vacation Work program I was assigned to the WP Improve team whose contract involves developing and executing brownfield upgrade and maintenance projects at BP Kwinana Oil refinery. Due to my good performance and eagerness to gain more experience I was fortunate to secure 2 placements.For this assignment I was allocated to the WP Process Engineering team. I performed all technical and general tasks that were assigned by my supervisors. It was necessary to work closely with the BP Operations & Maintenance team to understand the operational issues relating to my tasks, obtain advice on equipment locations to perform site surveys, scheduling of project activities on the operating facilities, etc. I also interfaced with the other discipline teams regarding changes to the P&ID's, etc. My work also required me to interface with BP’s construction contractor who performs the field execution activities for the projects.
