My role as a customer service host meant that I was a frontline member of staff to customers travelling through Brighton train station every day, by being situated on the concourse behind the customer information desk, which provided new challenges which were interesting. Many of the responsibilities ranged from assisting the disabled, the visually impaired and elderly people with access to using the Trains. Many of the responsibilities ranged from assisting the disabled, the visually impaired and elderly people with access to using the Trains. Other elements was assisting other station staff in crowd control when the Brighton and Hove Albion football team have home games making sure the flow of passengers is efficient and effective, another role was providing information for passengers inquiring about issues concerning service disruption and routes to their destinations as well as providing tourist information about Brighton and Hove. My role as a subject ambassador was to represent Coventry University and the Disaster Management & Emergency Planning course at Pre and post application days.On open days the main role was to provide answers to any questions which the parents has, as well as perspective student queries about the activities, course content and Coventry University.

Whilst working at Waitrose as a checkout supervisor I had many responsibilities including being trusted to be in charge of the section whilst the manager was away, opening up and closing down of the store, and sorting out the rotas. I have good customer service skills and good communications and was able to deal with customer orders, complaints and queries. I am adaptable and able to work well as part of a team, and was left unsupervised to help look after the section.
