As a Project Engineer for J&P engineering I was required to assist the Project manager / director to lead a team of skilled and unskilled labour in CNC machine removal, relocation and new installation; plus the maintenance and installations of electrical systems, building management systems and data networking in Ford motor company, Airbus, GDF Suez and E-ON power stations. I was responsible for helping with multiple tasks from the project start up to close out. This included the bid processing, analyse drawings and specifications, review project requirements and coordinate material and labour in line with project key stages and ensuring the company and national codes of practice were adhered to while recording updates to both the client and my senior management.I was also responsible for product submittals, purchase orders, onsite job walk through, change orders and payment applications to name a few tasks.

As the Managing Director for APS (A small Electrical, Security Data Networking and Engineering company) I was required to lead a team of skilled, unskilled and admin labour in all aspects of company life. Including Human resource, Training, Finance, Project management, Budget planning, Sales and the day to day running of a small company including driving the company forward to achieve a sustained growth pattern and build a reputation to grow the business on.I achieved this by building relationships with key clients including the NHS and GDF Suez, Delivering Projects on time and within Budget and exceeding the client’s expectations until the sale of the company to J&P Engineering in 2010.

As a project manager for Chubb I was responsible for the installation and maintenance of the Electrical and Security Systems for Asda, Matalan, Morrisons Vodaphone and Tesco. My role included the surveying, planning, organisation, health and safety method statements, operations manuals, control of outside contractors including the liaison between the customer, main contractor’s, sub contractor’s and others involved in the project right up to and including handover.I was also responsible for the training of staff ensuring they were competent to operate the systems effectively and ensuring the customers were satisfied with the level of service given. I was also responsible for the ongoing service level and customer care of the existing stores.

As an Electrician I was responsible for installing repairing and maintaining electrical systems in domestic commercial and industrial premises. I also carried out periodic test and inspecting systems, Planned my time management for preventative maintenance visits, completed paperwork to comply with the relevant codes of practice and standards. Liaised with clients and contractors as well as delivering reports on remedial works required and completed works.I also completed my apprenticeship with the above company. Training in all aspects of electrical and electronic works, working my way through college until being offered the role of electrician before the company was acquired by Chubb UK in May 1999.
