I joined The SAA in febuary 2023, as their new fundraiser. I organise events, deal with legacies and raise money for the chairty. I do this by liasing with sponsors, creating content for social media and running fundraising events in aid of the Charity.

The Manx Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ManxSPCA) is a not-for-profit organisation operating in the Isle of Man promoting animal welfare throughout the island.I first joined the ManxSPCA in 2017 and I initially was based in the kennels. While I was in kennels, I was lucky enough to be working with the rescue dogs. I made sure they were fed, medicated and even trained them to be the best they could be before finding their forever homes.I was shortly promoted to PR, Social media and Fundraiser Coordinator. I quickly taught myself the basics of of online/digital marketing. I was granted a position on a CIM Marketing Level 4 which I have no completed and received a Distinction.I enjoy working as a team, however I am currently working on my own. My role consists of many, from running all social media channels, looking at insights and thinking of creative ways to create more awareness. I also plan and organise events for the charity which I get sponsored by arranging meetings with other companies to discuss ways to work together to get the best results. I also handle all PR for the organisation, via TV interviews, newspaper and Radio interviews. The role itself is very fast paced and I very much enjoy thriving in this kind of element.

I was caring for and training the dogs that came in for rehoming at the ManxSPCA. I very much enjoyed the role, however I felt I could offer the society more. I am now the PR and Fundraiser for the charity.
