To support Liam Rust's role as Director of Engineering with Tetra Tech, his specialization in civil and structural design - and construction - comes with over 19 years of experience with project management, design, construction, fieldwork, and preservation of industrial and transportation facilities. His direct involvement includes supervising teams of engineers on multidiscipline projects and acting as the client/stakeholder liaison for construction projects, where he developed excellent communication and teamwork skills and a reputation for exceeding client expectations. In his project experience, Mr. Rust has participated in all aspects of the project from conceptual design through detailed engineering, to construction and start-up.Mr. Rust has in-depth experience with a variety of sectors, including; industrial mining and oil & gas, water and waste water, energy, municipal, transportation, as well as public sector departments. With his background in construction and project planning, combined with extensive engineering design execution, he brings a strong ability to lead effective teams on both fast-track and phased projects. Mr. Rust is experienced with local and national building codes (ABC, BCBC, NBC) and has worked with industrial standards such as CSA, PIP, ACI, CSPI, CISC, and MOTi. He also supports Tetra Tech professional governance as a Responsible Registrant with EGBC, as well as being a voting member with ACEC-BC.
