As a Customer and Trading Manager at Sainsbury's working in both supermarkets and convenience stores, my duties have included:- Leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.- Developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.- Managing trading operations, including inventory management, pricing, and promotions.- Utilizing data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improve trading performance.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute marketing campaigns and promotions for enhanced customer experience.- Monitoring and analyzing sales performance, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing corrective actions.- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.- Managing customer feedback and resolving customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.- Providing leadership, guidance, and training to team members to foster a positive and high-performing work environment.

I started working at Sainsbury’s as a replenishment colleague in the grocery department. I quickly learned the ins and outs of the departments, getting trained on all aspects of the department from code checking to merchandising. Not long after staring I was selected to take on some extra responsibilities and become a responsible colleague where I was trained in all other aspects of the store, as well as completing a First Aid for work certificate and becoming a personal license holder.Day to day I am responsible for managing a team of up to 6 colleagues working to ensure that the store is fully replenished, code checked, faced up and that planograms stay up to date. I am also responsible for the opening and closing of the store during my shifts as the duty manager.

I create engaging content for various channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, and internal communications. I also maintain the company's website and manage our social media platforms, ensuring accurate and timely information while keeping our audience informed and engaged.Additionally, I support the organisation of various events such as AGMs and webinars, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent messaging and branding. I monitor media coverage, prepare reports, and maintain a digital media library. Online reputation management and brand presence are also part of my responsibilities, involving active engagement and ensuring a positive image for the charity.Throughout my tenure, I have developed strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms, and the ability to conduct efficient research and analysis. I am adept at working with content management systems, graphic design software, and have a solid understanding of public relations and marketing principles.
