I am a jack-of-all trades designer and artist with a keen independence and creative drive. I have 10+ years of professional design experience in branding, communication, and product, however my most consistent passion has been creating music and art in many forms. The combination has resulted in a diverse portfolio and a big ol’ bag of tricks when it comes to skills useful to small businesses.I'm looking to work in a creative space and am especially attracted to opportunities that bring variety. I am an artist foremost, with a keen sense of what is needed in the relationship between business and customer. Analytical, strategic, and creative. Some more information on my history:Shortly after graduating with honours from the well respected Studio Art program at the University of Guelph, I created a brand that acted as a record label for like-minded artists and eventually became a platform for my growing multi-disciplinary art practice. Cutting edge art direction for cover art, posters, clothing graphics, and ambitious DIY installation art at DJ parties became our trademark. In 2014 I co-founded a design agency. In addition to branding local businesses, prominent client work included data visualization for Northstar Research Partners (including TD Bank’s Insights department) and pitch decks for start-ups incubated by the University of Guelph’s Centre for Business and Student Enterprise (CBaSE). This work called for a clear understanding of the data, brand, and strategy in order to tell a compelling story for executives and investors.Since 2020 I’ve been using these varied skills as a designer and project manager to prototype social enterprises designed to enhance democracy. Projects include a membership organization making life more affordable for moms, a volunteer program for high school students to make bring their communities together through conversation, and digital tools to make political campaigning easier. I led small teams to take ideas from 0 to 60, building prototypes and testing them for Product Market Fit.I'm a forever student of lean product methodologies, especially functional and emotional jobs-to-be-done.Personally, I’ve had a life-long relationship with art and music, which often overlaps with my work as an entrepreneur. In 2024 I'm looking forward to launching new music and media brands.:•)

We use lean start-up and product development methodologies to launch these experiments.I manage a small team and am responsible for the life cycle of a prototype; customer discovery, insights, business model analysis, MVP design, technical requirements, testing, reporting, and optimization. -
Design Lead, Ux/UiMajority Labs May 2020 - Jan 2022Toronto, Ontario, CanadaThe sole designer on two software projects designed for grassroots and establishment political organizers; GroundGame and Sway. Both aimed to address communication pain points in the industry. Organizers often have large lists of contacts that are fragmented across platforms, and consistent, omni-channel communication can be time consuming and difficult to get right. -
