As a pump engineer my general responsibilities were to provide a high level of customer service to all of our residential, industrial and commercial customer base, when attending their properties for service, installation or breakdown work.I mostly worked as a one man team, dealing with ground water systems in order to prevent basement flooding in the city of London. These systems using a wide range of technologies to run including:• 230/415V control panels with optional run counters• Different types of 12/24 or even 230v float switches• 12v battery and inverter combinations for a back up power supply in the event of power loss• PVC discharge pipework of various sizes.Additionally I was responsible for carrying out site surveys prior to the installation of a system taking place so that all of the necessary requirements were met.

I started working for A&C pumps as a trainee pump engineer and finished my time there as a lead engineer.My main duties were too carry out the installation, rectification and servicing of foul and storm water submersible pump systems in industrial, commercial and residential premises.
