Digital Media Manager At Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks (National Rugby League)

I lead the Digital Media team at the Sharks. We plan and manage the development of the Club’s communications and brand strategy throughout the year, where we were named #1 Digital team in the NRL. I oversee the creation of content for our digital and traditional media and marketing platforms to best engage with our members and fans. During my time here I have helped develop a suite of quality, user-generated content that no other Club has produced. I also work closely with the traditional media and with journalists to enable greater exposure for the Sharks brand and their sponsors such as Bang & Olufsen, Electronic Arts and Hydralite. I work to crisis manage situations and play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our brand both on and off the field by being as transparent as we can for our media stakeholders. I spend my days doing a mixture of copy writing, press releases, video cutting, photo editing, and managing our marketing automatic system.Our team has focused on looking at new ways to communicate our brand story to the market through segmentation and personalisation of messaging. I led the team’s efforts to become the first Club to use Live Streaming technology, which is just one of the ways we have used new technologies to help the Sharks build a recognisable profile both in Australia and overseas.
