Whilst working with the Hilton I learned a lot about working within a busy city centre hotel and how you have always gotta be on the ball to meet expectations for the guest. At the Hilton I varied in jobs at the Hilton to get more knowledge about different departments and how they run, I’m always keen to learn how others operate in certain situations such as if it’s checking a guest in or serving at a bar.I enjoyed my time within this hotel working with the F&B department running sections, functions and wedding receptions. Working closely with the nights manager to gain the experience and knowledge of his role. I have learned the night audit which involves closing down management accounts, and the Hiltons own guest system to close down and restart for the next following business date. Other roles including bar service, setting up meeting rooms and room service for the guests which involves using the kitchen cook the 24hr menu.
