This work experience came from within my degree, it gave me the opportunity to work for a software engineering company and give me the real life experience of what it is like to work with a team of developers. As a group we were given real clients who had ideas of software they would like creating. As a group we had regular meetings with our client in order for us to gain a full specification for the software that we were creating and to make sure the client received regular updates and had an input during the development process. I gained many things from working in SEED, but one of the main things was learning to use the SCRUM agile methodology. The project which I was working on was for The Cleveland Way Partnership & National Trust, who wanted a mobile augmented reality application creating which allowed walkers to hear audio information and interpretations of the site depending on the user’s current location and orientation.Some other important things gained for this experience where;Using Visual Studio Team foundation server, improved team work, chance to work with customers for software development, Project management.
