I am a graduate from Hull University where I studied a BA History (hons) degree which I completed in 2019 achieving a 2.1. In my 3rd year I specialised in King John studies and chose to do my dissertation on King John in Normandy entitled ‘King John and the loss of Normandy: a study of the attributing factors that resulted in the loss of Normandy and determining how much blame should be attached to John’s role’ for which I also received a 2.1 classification. I am currently based in Barton East Yorkshire and work as a Buyer at Wren Kitchens. I am part of a team who use forecasts to order, buy and manage stock levels across our 3 main manufacturing sites. We liaise and deal with a wide range of suppliers both domestic and internationally, in order to source the required stock and materials to keep our productions sites running smoothly and insuring that our customers get their dream kitchens. I have also recently passed my CIPS level 3 and have plans to further progress my education and understanding in the logistics industry I also organise and have experience with international shipping and currently mange the transportation of our goods from our UK business to our ever growing U.S business. I am responsible for sourcing and liaison with forwarders to ensure our goods arrive when needed and at good value. As such I negotiate and discuss new and existing contracts many different forwarders in order to get not just the best price, but the best service for our businessI am always looking to expand my network so feel free to reach out and let’s see how we can help each other develop and progress. I was required to work on high end caravan and motorhomes. I was required to check, fix and fit items to these vehicles. I gained a basic understanding of electrics, gas and water installations which ranged from mending to fitting items from each. I was required to work to a weekly deadline list consisting of a large number of vans and often worked on my own so had full responsibility for the outcome of the finished product. I left this role at Wandahome to focus on my final year at university.

Was required to work with a variety heavy machinery which cut grass to different specifications in different areas of the golf course, from greens cutters, to heavy duty fairway mowers and mowers known as ‘zero turns’ to cut in between trees in the rough. Was also required to maintain and repair he machinery used Was also required to perform manual labour tasks such as digging out and replacing bunkers as well as planning and digging and new drainage systems on the course.I also had to train new members of staff and train them to a standard where they could preform their duties unsupervised.

Factory WorkerHumber Growers Ltd 2008 - 2014I worked on food packaging production lines and was required to quality check all produce and packaging before they where delivered to to the customer. I was required to work on a variety of different production lines and machines which helped me to develop a critical eye for excellence to ensure that all products didn’t face rejection In 2011 I was trained to operate a motorised pallet truck and was responsible for supplying raw product and removing fully finished product to all the production lines in the factory. I had to work to a ‘pick sheet’ in order to make sure the correct produce went to the correct customer. This role also required me to use an electric scanning system know as ‘Rubicon’ to help keep track of all produce that was used on site and in different area of the factory. I was one of the main advocates for implementing the ‘Rubicon’ system and pushed for it to be used on our premises. It was used up until the company liquidation in 2014.
