The Jacinta Charitable Trust is a charity which owns and runs the 1972 Jacinta Heritage Trawler, a 615-ton deep sea fishing trawler which is now preserved as a floating maritime museum in the old fishing port of Fleetwood. We are now in the process of completing a major renovation and refit project to secure the integrity of the ship as an asset for the future.I joined the project in 2015 to support the project management team and have since worked to complete both small and large scale maintenance and engineering projects. The Trust has been an excellent source of project management experience and provided me with the opportunity to work within a new industry sector and with colleagues from many differing backgrounds. I have also been provided the opportunity to work ‘hands on’ with the engineers to maintain the ships engine and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities:- Plan, manage and control renovation and restoration projects within the ship - Coordinate with engineering contractors, the Maritime Coastguard Agency and marine architects to discuss present and future project plans, commercial contracts and project risks - Assist in the creation and analysis of feasibility studies for both future projects and future business opportunities- Organise public relations events, community festivals, public and commercial visits- Assist in the general maintenance of the ship and its essential equipment

I was employed within the NS&I account and worked within a small highly trained team responsible for the settlement of financial investments registered to deceased clients. I completed a process improvement project to facilitate a 50% resource reduction whilst maintaining work quality and productivity within strict KPIs. The project targets were achieved by implementing and streamlining process change and process improvement initiatives to ensure the continuation of throughput and productivity targets. Responsibilities:- worked closely with management, process experts, project and legal teams to ensure financial claims were processed accurately within strict time deadlines and in line with current legal and compliance regulations- liaised with solicitors, executors, Probate Department, Sheriff Court, HM Revenue and Customs and DWP to ensure precise movement of funds and the accuracy of financial records, interest reports and tax statements- responsible for processing high value money movements and payments with individual values up to and exceeding £5million- solely responsible for the department training initiatives and created and implemented a detailed training and guidance plan for new employees- participated in internal audits to ensure the accuracy of high value payments and money movements

I was contracted to work within a quality assurance team to ensure off-shore work was completed within strict quality and time constraints. I also worked closely with project teams to evaluate resulting data. Responsibilities:- monitor the quality of completed work to ensure project deliverables were being met within the compliance regulations - manage client financial accounts and investment portfolios to update personal details, financial repayments/reinvestments and complete detailed interest and tax reports.- headed a training team to organise and train new employees in line with company quality policies

I worked as a volunteer with a local charity to organise an art exhibition and family activity day. I was responsible for scheduling project tasks and resource allocation and liaised with community and council stakeholders to examine funding potential from the European charity fund and investigated future strategies for growth and direction of the charity
