I have been playing/producing music since middle school. I decided to turn this passion into a full time job by going to school for a degree in audio engineering, specializing in music production. I have several years of experience working as an assistant engineerat Main Street Music Studios in Brewer, Maine. There, we recorded, mixed, and mastered for a diverse range of clients from rock music to rap to authors recording audiobooks. The skills I learned from both school and my on-site work allowed me to take on engineering clients of my own, taking on the task of producing, recording, mixing, and mastering a record for a local band as well as other freelance mixing and mastering work. At the same time, I also honed my skills as a drummer, which eventually turned into an instructing gig on the weekend, teaching students ranging from toddlers to teenagers. Because this was a weekend gig, it meant that I was living and breathing music 7 days a week, constantly working at my craft and developing my ears. These different applications of my musical interests all influenced each other and gave me the opportunity to meet new people and learn how to be a role model for the upcoming generation all while still improving my technical skills related to engineering and music production.
