My team devised an implementation to social media platforms linked to a peer-reviewed database of relevant topics to inform users of the factual information in a post marked as 'cited'. This idea granted us second place in the competition, and fuelled my ambition to create software solutions for real-world problems.- Building and Deploying a Web App Using Scrum and Agile MethodologiesThroughout my last semester, one of my classes was focused on performing test-driven development of a grocery price comparison web application in a group of six. As volunteered scrum leader, I was tasked to create user stories, order and prioritise tasks based on our given requrements and to organise scrum meetings consisting of technical discussions with the team. During development, I was responsible for the production and deployment of a RESTful backend API using Spring Boot with a MySQL database. I worked closely with the other team members in a Next.js frontend environment to produce TailwindCSS-powered responsive pages, teasting and integrating seamlessly with our backend API.- Using Data Modelling Techniques to Predict Mortality in Heart Dissease PatientsIn 2022, I took an elective class in Practical Data Science, which opened my eyes to the fascinating world of data analysis. A notable experience from undertaking this class was training a simple AI model to predict heart dissease patients' mortality risk and assessing the effectiveness of these models. Using data cleansing and prediction techniques, I was able to successfully predict unseen observations with nearly 90% accuracy.
