Curtis Banks are a SIPP and SSAS provider having the second largest full SIPP client base in the UK. I lead the Property Administration Team, looking to bring new leadership ideas and concepts to improve performance, motivation and efficiency. My ideas are not limited to my particular team but the business as a whole with many ideas being personally driven. Hand picked to co-lead a branding project and helped implement an employee morale boosting initiative.I manage an internal, company wide newsletter responsible for image, content and editing. Also involved in other company communications, internal and external and provide my expertise on visual aspects of the website and how to approach social media platforms.My offline links on twitter enabled a link with Pension Geeks, a communications company, to which I organised sponsorship and attendance of Pensions Awareness Day 2014 and 2015. I also organise company events in aid of various charities. Pleasure of managing accounts on both the St. James’s Place SIPP (400+ clients) and the Curtis Banks SIPP(700+ clients). This mixed relationship management with a high volume of general scheme correspondence. My good relationship with our Business Development Manager’s made sure I maximised the number of new client’s choosing to set up accounts with Curtis Banks and to provide an excellent client experience from inception. I make sure I am approachable to all colleagues at all times and am very proactive in helping with guidance and assistance when required, or using my initiative to step in when I sense the need to.My pensions twitter account means I am up to date with current affairs and future legislation changes or rumours. Joined Ascentric to explore working for a Wrap Platform, working in the SIPP department administering new SIPP business.The SIPP product was still quite new to the market when I joined so developing the systems and overall administration of the SIPP department was high priority. I provided many ideas on improving the systems in place. The company experienced high volumes of new business so it was important for me to work with other members in the department to help manage workload and make sure temporary staff were trained to a high standard. Alongside this, I experienced high levels of general scheme correspondence via telephone, email and postal.I was also exposed to transfers out and helped streamline a new process to better handle these requests. I identified a lack of team knowledge of Pensions Liberation stopped potential cases going through the system.

Sanlam were still a relatively new firm who had bought Merchant Investors. I was brought in to work on the full SIPP product they provided. Due to my background in pensions I was placed in charge of the Syndicated Property Purchase proposal. I quickly identified a lack of efficiency in how data was being recorded and implemented an entirely new way of tracking this product by transferring all data to Excel. I was exposed to high level management meetings in order to provide my figures each month.This role included a high volume of general scheme correspondence and I would assist the Pensions Technical team on difficult time consuming cases.

Hargreaves Lansdown is the biggest execution only SIPP provider in the UK. I joined directly from University.Working in the Regular Savings Department I was dealing with clients accumulating their pension funds. This included monthly reporting and the collection of monthly direct debits. In the absence of the team manager I would lead the team. During this role I produced full procedure notes for this element of the business.During my time at Hargreaves Lansdown I was also exposed to the Drawdown team and processed a high volume of applications and drawdown calculations. There was a high level of general scheme correspondence to deal with on a daily basis.
