My focus is on real financial planning and I work with individuals, families, business and trustees.I can work with you to identify where you want to get to financially, how far you are towards getting there and what you might be able to do better along the way.Specialist advice areas include wealth management, investments, retirement and estate planning.

As part of the Financial Planning Team, I provided independent financial planning and wealth management advice to a portfolio of corporate clients, private clients, charities and trusts. This included advice on wealth management, IHT planning and retirement planning/pensions.I was also very active in the corporate pensions and auto enrolment market, having successfully advised and managed large and small businesses through their auto enrolment projects.

A natural progression from being a mortgage professional was to widen my skills base into regulated investments. Through time as a tied, then multi-tied and then eventually independent financial adviser, I was responsible for providing advice to customers of HSBC on their financial planning requirements. This included advice on savings, mortgages, investments, pensions and tax planning.

Having started off as a temporary cashier and customer services adviser, I soon discovered that I wanted to learn more about financial services. I found that I really cared about and understood the power of delivering a great service in developing customer relationships and sales. I decided to accept a permanent position after 6 months, "skill up" by studying for my professional mortgage advice qualifications. Through this process, more on the job training and additional responsibility as a branch mortgage consultant, I then progressed to running a small team of staff at 2 branches.
