January 2014 - 2017Scottish Power HQ, GlasgowI started working on this project at the beginning of 2014 and was tasked in value engineering and selection of varies mechanical subcontractors and suppliers. Due to a large design and structural change this has lead to many packages and elements of CHt’s works to be redesigned and reselection of mechanical elements.With the plan to start works on site in early 2015, I have been tasked with preparing the Domestic works for the project which includes systems such as Rainwater, Above ground drainage as well as continuing value engineering and selectoin of varies mechanical subcontractors and suppliers Project EngineerNovember 2011 to now- The Hydro Arena Glasgow Upon completion of my apprenticeship at the end of my assignment at UWOS Ayr Campus I moved work on the Hydro Arena Project. My initial responsibilities were to gather information to send out for tender to small subcontractors - for example dry riser package and under floor heating. I am now based on site and my responsibilities are:Liaise with the foremen to keep them up to date with incoming information for take offs. On site logistics’ in regards to the use of plant. The delivery of small and large material whether it be pipe work and fittings or large fans and attenuators etc. Liaise with Main Contractor & subcontractors; arrange with them to attend site to carry out their works when areas are ready.

1st-2nd Year Apprentice2007-2008 Crown House Technologies, Glasgow Airport Sky Hub My responsibilities during the first year of my apprenticeship on were the management and procurement of materials for this project. I was responsible for reporting to the Project Manager for the progress of onsite mechanical services. In addition to this leading into the end of the project I was also responsible for marking up and completing on time all fitted drawing. In addition to this I also completed the 3D drawings for the roof top plant room.2nd-3rd Year Apprentice2008/9-2010 Crown House Technologies, CAD Drawing office I was involved in CAD drawing work that came into the office. I.e. Room layout drawings for the Edinburgh Schools. I also went out to Edinburgh Airport to Sketch the Car Rent Plantroom and service routes. I spent 2 month out at NATS Prestwick doing 3D drawing work of the Switch room replacements.3rd – 4th Year Apprentice2010-2011- House Technologies, UWOS Ayr CampusI performed a variety of tasks for this project from the pre-project setup through to snagging completion. My initial role was to gather the Equipment Schedules and ensure that all pre-project activities were complete. I then transferred to be based onsite performing the role of Document Controller for all interaction with subcontracts including any change control and the communication of this to the relevant people. Towards the end of the project I was responsible for ensuring that all subcontract snagging was completed and signed off.
