Retail Sales AssistantG-Star Raw 2016 - 2018Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaI started work at G-Star Raw Highpoint as a Christmas casual in December 2016, and when my contract ended at the start of February I was offered a role as a permanent casual sales associate a position I held until March 2018. At G-Star my role as a casual sales associate included assisting customers, all sales related tasks, stock handling and ensuring store standards were maintained, in a week at G-Star I would work anywhere between 5 and 25 hours depending on demand. An important part of my role at G-Star achieving sales targets on a daily and weekly basis and helping maintain the store’s strong KPI standards. Having worked in retail I’ve learned that it’s not just about selling product to customers, it is much more involved. It’s about reading your customer and creating a relationship with them so that they trust you and you can help guide them towards the product that is best suited to them. I concluded my time at G-Star at the start of 2018 in order to pursue new opportunities.
