• Amidst the Ebola crisis of 2014 CNA/NNU became one of the prominent hubs regarding news of the virus, as well as providing precautions to both its members and the general public and demanding substantial improvements for safeguards for health workers and nurses. I was called upon to help with the overflow of media requests and social media presence.• Facilitated and scheduled requests for television, radio and print interviews for major media outlets such as CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the LA Times amongst others.• Revised drafts of press releases and sent them to appropriate market areas concerning the lack of preparedness most hospitals displayed in the event they were to treat a patient who had Ebola.• Took photo and video of local press conferences hosted by CNA/NNU concerning the highest standards for protective equipment for members and nurses nationwide.• Facilitated social media outlets such as Twitter and Facebook directing followers to petitions, general Ebola awareness, and CNA/NNU interviews on major media outlets in addition to live Tweeting local press conferences.• Was part of team that inspired the California mandate regarding Ebola guidelines after a global day of action and an appeal to Governor Jerry Brown.
