Thanks for visiting my profile to learn a little bit more about mine!I’m a storyteller, content specialist, and a community advocate who loves to collaborate with a team to make great work and initiatives more approachable and comprehensive. I'm a journalist by trade who took his skills to help communicate progress of local goverments to a broader audience.I thrive in environments where I’m pushed to go above and beyond regularly, and am fulfilled by the days where I have no choice but to think outside the box and challenge my pre-existing way of thinking about my role. There’s nothing more exciting to me than trying a new idea that I’ve never done before. I don’t like sitting still and I don’t like being bored.I began my new journey in journalism as the Jacksonville Bureau Chief and Multimedia Journalist at WITN News in May of 2020. After a challenging job search in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, beginning my career as a broadcast reporter this way was certainly not how I imagined it. Despite an unforgiving first year as a reporter, I still found ways to grow far beyond the point I ever could have imagined.I am a 2020 graduate of Elon University. I graduated with degrees in journalism and political science and a minor in American studies. Home is the Hudson Valley, New York. I've reported on everything from how the national opioid epidemic is affecting the local community, a coffee shop employing people with disabilities, to candidates running for North Carolina state senate. I have continued to be shocked and amazed by ordinary people doing extraordinary things, and telling those stories is what keeps me coming back to this field for more.Interested in learning more about any of the information provided here?
