I'm a journalist by trade who took his skills to help communicate progress of local goverments to a broader audience.I thrive in environments where I’m pushed to go above and beyond regularly, and am fulfilled by the days where I have no choice but to think outside the box and challenge my pre-existing way of thinking about my role. There’s nothing more exciting to me than trying a new idea that I’ve never done before. I don’t like sitting still and I don’t like being bored.I began my new journey in journalism as the Jacksonville Bureau Chief and Multimedia Journalist at WITN News in May of 2020. After a challenging job search in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, beginning my career as a broadcast reporter this way was certainly not how I imagined it. Despite an unforgiving first year as a reporter, I still found ways to grow far beyond the point I ever could have imagined.I am a 2020 graduate of Elon University. I graduated with degrees in journalism and political science and a minor in American studies. Home is the Hudson Valley, New York. I've reported on everything from how the national opioid epidemic is affecting the local community, a coffee shop employing people with disabilities, to candidates running for North Carolina state senate.
