Oversight of visits to the region made by the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers.Delivery of North West Labour Party Regional Conference, the biggest Labour Party Conference outside of London. Oversaw the delivery of 5 parliamentary by-elections in the last parliament. Winning Blackpool South with the third biggest swing to the Labour Party since the second world war. Responsibility for all elections in the region. Including, General Elections, Local Elections, Metro Mayoral Elections, PCC elections.Responsibility for finding and developing candidates to fight elections at all levels.

Working closely with key stakeholders including: office of the Leader of the Opposition, parliamentary candidates, MP’s, PPC’s, MEP’s and councillors in preparation for all election campaigns.Working with the Regional Director to ensure all regional staff are working to the agreed plans and strategies of The Labour Party.Responsibility for leading the staff team on campaigning strategies for the North West.Regularly assessing short term and long term objectives with weekly meetings with core team members.Deputising for the Regional Director at senior management meetings and leading regional team meetings.Directing a program of events including Regional Conference, National Policy Forum events, Local Government Day, Leaders Forum, Youth Conference, and training.Develop strong links with businesses and donors across the region to support the objectives of the party.Acting as legal election agent for by-elections where asked to do so.Setting the annual budget and agreeing budgets with staff leads.
