Managed communications and large non-profit partnerships for the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response. Provided technical assistance to help partners manage CDC-funded activities related to Zika prevention and public health emergency capacity-building. Monitored partner activities and collected data for program evaluation. Drafted and edited agendas, partner fact sheets, scope of work proposals, and more, presenting to high-level staff such as division leaders and the Zika Deputy Incident Manager. Facilitated meetings with internal and external partners. Worked with an evaluation team to create a framework/strategy for assessing the Division's current partner monitoring and reporting system, as well as correlations between partner activities and CDC/the Division's goals.

Fort Collins, Colorado Area

Worked with global health non-profit Partners in Health to complete a community coordinator training and plan a year-long campaign strategy of fundraising, advocacy, & education to benefit global health equity. Strategy included concert fundraisers, educational booths at Colorado State University events, partnerships with organizations such as Trader Joe's and Geeks Who Drink, and more. Led a local team of 15 people to execute strategy. Established the Partners in Health Engage chapter as an official Colorado State University student organization.

Pampas Grande, Peru / Fort Collins, Co

Completed on-the-spot, high-pressure training and tasks within the community, including dental work (injecting anesthesia, extracting teeth) and explaining medication regimens to patients in Spanish. Worked with the local Pampas Grande non-profit to design and implement a baseline survey in Spanish, assessing food security and food-related behaviors in two rural communities in the Andes. Trained a local assistant to help implement the survey. Collected and analyzed data using statistical program SPSS. Drafted a report of findings and recommendations for PAN Peru and presented these findings at Colorado State University.
