I have vast experience as a performer playing Electric Bass, in 4 and 6 string varieties. A strong sense of rhythm, impeccable improvisation, and sight reading abilities make for exciting performances in all Jazz and Popular styles.I also have years and years of experience ‘depping’ for other musicians, and can seamlessly integrate into your musical performance with no rehearsal required. Being critical of tone and stylistics, it ensures a great sounding performance every time in some of the best north-east and UK-wide professional function bands day in, day out.My production work has graced various international TV and Radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, Metro Radio, BBC Radio Newcastle, Channel 4 TV, XFM, Capitol FM, ITV, BBC 6Music and Amazing Radio. It's also topped Amazing Radio Charts, been picked "Best of Myspace" (Yes, I've been doing it that long!), staff picked on Bandcamp, and heard by audiences of millions through sync deals with television networks.I have been privately teaching for a number of years, for a range of different ages and abilities on Electric Bass and Electric Guitar. I can help also with Music Technology and Music Theory.Focusing on listening before playing, using a range of aural training, my students are keen to learn from my teaching methods despite the stigma attached to more traditional aural exercises. We can work to any syllabus required but I have also obtained great results from students who have voiced their dislike for the graded system.In the year of 2014, two of my Bass Guitar students were accepted onto the prestigious RNCM B.Mus (Hons) Popular Music course, of which there are only around 7 successful applicants a year.In the year of 2018, another student was accepted to the same competitive course.I have also helped many students pass mandatory Music Theory grades required for higher education, including a 100% pass mark.

I work regularly with Music at Work on their flagship package 'One Day Anthem' which involves composing and producing an original track of music in a wide range of styles, based on suggestions from the group in advance.I then deliver an engaging presentation and Q&A session about the composition of their One Day Anthem track, and music production in general.The final step is to record the vocals (anywhere from 12 to 200 voices!) and mix the final result, all in one day with a premiere at the end for the participants.
