Upon completion of my degree I worked for Turner Facilities Management on a refurbishment project of over 100 houses in the North East. Turner FM were contracted by Your Homes Newcastle to install an insulated render system to homes in Gosforth and Fawdon. I worked as an Assistant Site Manager to ensure contractors carried out work to a high standard and in line with the construction programme prior to inspection and handover to the client.

Placement year undertaken during my BSc Hons Degree in Construction Project Management.During my placement year I worked on a £3 million new build residential project which included the construction of 32 later living apartments for the elderly. I was responsible for ensuring all work carried out by contractors was completed to a high standard and in a safe manner. I was involved in the ordering of materials and plant in line with the construction programme to ensure the project ran on time and to budget. I was also involved in monthly site meetings in which myself and the site team would report progress to the contracts manager and construction director.This project was awarded an NHBC quality award (2015) from a shortlist of 15,000 developments.
