About Liam Hunt

Creator of interactive experiences for entertainment, education and research. At heart I'm a playful designer who has learned to specialise in coding in order to bring my imagination to life. Along my creative journey I’ve also become a 3D modeller, level designer, project manager and teacher. I truly believe in the untapped educational and enrichment power of digital interactivity, and seek opportunities to create serious games to (if you'll excuse the cliché) make learning fun! Some of the greatest experiences I've had throughout my professional career:- Leading a team of developers in close partnership with The University of Western Australia and WA schools to create a game for teenage mental health research.- Experiencing the highs and lows of being a small time indie game developer whilst creating, internationally exhibiting and releasing BrambleLash.- Creating a serious game with the Telethon Kids Institute autism research team, which produced measurable positive outcomes in academic studies.- Discovering my love of teaching, education and communicating ideas whilst working with (and learning from) the students and instructors at SAE Perth.- Working on-site with the Australian Navy to introduce new digital entertainment technologies into their Submariner training program.Specialities: Serious games, Game design, C#, Unity, Blender
