• Responsible for Treating, Drying, and Packaging areas. Attending Tier 2 meetings daily and KPI meetings weekly to ensure on track OEE. Support of equipment including Haver Behn+Bates Roto-Packer, Premier Tech 730 IP Packer, Reinveld Centrifuge, Merco Centrifuge, Larox Press, blending bins and pneumatic conveying lines.• Managed contractors on project installs. Refurbished blend bin lid. Installed metal detector on line 2. Fixed and installed chemical line on LNP unit for HCl metering. • Provided data visualization tools to empower informed decision making during my time at facility and beyond. These tools allowed us to identify a bottleneck in the starch dewatering process. The Merco centrifuges were running 10 baume on underflow this was causing slow cycle times on Reinvelds. Not long after this and a few mechanical changes we were able to hit a new record of 2.05 million pounds dried in one day.• Prepared automatic paper bag rework project for a capital of $642k and simple payback of $560k/year. The project will allow real-time automatic rework of paper bags that are off weight and otherwise sold as downgraded material. • Implemented safety systems for electrical cabinets in Class 2 Div 1 environment. Fixed Loss of Pressure Disconnect Enclosures (LOPDE) for packing line 1 and 2 and removed bypass. Cleaned and fixed safety switches on cabinets for packing line 3. Corn starch has a Kst around 206 putting it in NFPA 68 St-2 hazard classification, I take this very seriously.

• Improved the changeover process for agglomeration work center. This was done by performing a time study, updating work instructions, working closely with operations, and installing new tool stations. These improvements will save 100+ hours of wasted downtime per year. • Created a troubleshooting guide to help resolve common cause issues with the central vacuum system. • Updated the HACCP Glass & Brittle Plastic Food Safety Audit to include easier identification of high-risk items. Laid groundwork for further improvements to the entire system by developing a web framework with Python to handle the audit system. The audit system is being controlled with Excel. • Completed Ingredion Continuous Improvement White Belt Training. • Assisted in inventory cycle for integration of new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. • Reviewed and updated work order instructions to match correct file references in document control system.

• The β-Gauge system allows engineers and operators to see electrode weights during the entire coating process. I improved an outdated/unused system and successfully enhanced it for efficiency and up-to-date use. With continued analysis, operators can quickly and easily identify patterns of faults and allow for quick responses to help save on scrap and money. • Created software with a combination of batch files and Excel VBA for statistical Process Control report printing. • Worked with operations team to implement procedures for operators to use the β-Gauge system. Lead a project that created and executed a new way that the team monitors and ensures the electrode meets process specifications.

• Improve in-line production quality control of lithium-ion battery electrodes for custom products. Products include batteries with a long lifespan for Space, batteries with a high-power output for racing, and batteries that are reliable for Defense contracting. • Develop procedures for coating machine repairs, preventative maintenance on laser welder fixtures, installing β-Gauge system setups and runs, and quality analysis methods.
