• Focused on the creation and delivery of interactive TV services on the Microsoft Mediaroom platform for BT Vision (On Vision Sports & Entertainment), Deutsche Telekom (T-Entertain Liga Total) and Swisscom (Teleclub Sports & Photoviewer design concepts). I was responsible for seeing the projects through from ideation to delivery and acting as a bridge between both the clients and internal design and development teams. Role responsibilities were as follows:o Creation of project plans and management reports, tracking the progress of each project phase and ensuring on time deliveryo Management of the day-to-day tasks for both internal and external design & development teamso Ensuring prompt delivery of all design and application development deliverables to agreed scope, time and costo Working with marketing and commercial teams to define product roadmapso Managing the relationship with the clients to ensure they were entirely satisfied with the service delivered by emuse and to foster longer term partnerships

• Responsible for delivering the BBC ‘iPlayer’ on the UK’s Cable TV platform, Virgin Media. I was involved with TV iPlayer at its conception and was responsible for drawing up the overall development and launch plans, owning and maintaining the timelines, risks & issues, providing direction for the project team, managing the budget and managing the relationships of all 3rd parties (RedBee Media, Siemens & Virgin Media) and internal BBC departments involved in delivering the service.• Responsible for delivering the BBCi Catch-up TV & BBC Archive trials were R&D projects and each included a technical trial with consumers on the DTT (Freeview) Platform. This involved managing the requirements capture, design & scoping processes and development with both internal BBC development teams and external partners; Cabot Communications (an international set top box manufacturer) for the Catch-up TV trial and Netgem (a French set top box manufacturer) for the Archive trial. Both services were successfully developed and delivered on time providing valuable learning’s for future on-demand developments on the UK’s DTT platform.

• Manager for Interactive TV and Web productions for Tailor-made Films, the format owners of the ‘Come and Have a go’ lottery quiz show. My role focused on the international deployment of the show. I was the main point of contact for the producer in the local territory, advising on the show format and ensuring the brand and key elements of the format were maintained in the local adaptation. I was also responsible for finding, creating and managing partnerships with interactive solution providers to ensure Tailor-made Films could deploy Interactive TV, Web & Mobile play-along solutions to any territory. The key territories (in addition to the UK) where I spent time working alongside broadcasters, production companies and solutions providers were Australia, France, Belgium, Italy and the USA.

• Responsible for taking all the BBC’s high profile interactive projects from the initial ideas stage through to transmission. This included the commissioning of interactive programmes and their development, planning and management of the development process and scheduling, taking completed developments through the Sky platform approvals process (SSSL) and finally, managing the internal interactive production and transmission process. During this time I was responsible for delivering a total of 114 high profile interactive services inc. Wimbledon, The Open Golf, Walking with Beasts & Test the Nation all of which achieved international acclaim and awards.In addition to the on-air projects I was also responsible for the commissioning and implementation of two major infrastructure projects, these were:• The multi-streaming project - to allow the transmission of multiple streaming services e.g. purchase of satellite transponder space and implementation of associated transmission infrastructure, the first project to make use of this technology was Wimbledon 2001.• The interactive production gallery – this was an area dedicated to interactive TV production, which was strategically built to be incorporated with both live and pre-recorded linear production.

• Responsible primarily for working with BBC Technology & BBC Resources to ensure the deployment and logistics of all IT infrastructure to support the live UK domestic Millennium event programme and its many outside broadcast locations around the UK was delivered on time. I was also responsible for deploying a web based running order system for all the international broadcasters involved in the production. The international show was broadcast across 128 countries and was a major technical achievement as well as a first in broadcasting, bringing all territories together to produce a global live programme.

• Responsible for overseeing the delivery and support of radio production systems and corporate desktop rollouts, this included delivery and release management of software and overseeing of a team of technical support specialists who looked after the day to day running of IT at BBC Radio.
