We also undertake proactive projects, e.g., longer term water quality issues (e.g. rising trends and emerging issues), long term source performance, drought management and identifying future investment needs.Key Project Experience:PFASDesigning and undertaking a desk-based PFAS Risk Assessment, to understand the potential risk to groundwater sources from PFAS contamination. Creation of an internal PFAS working group and developing detailed PFAS groundwater risk assessments for at risk sources.Assisting with the response to a hydrocarbon pollution event to understand the risk to our groundwater source through desktop and intrusive site investigations. Key Project ExperienceSupervision and sample collection (soil and groundwater) from a large contaminated land site investigation at a former power station.Preparation of detailed hydrogeological risk assessments to understand the potential risk of specific pesticides to multiple public water supply sources within different aquifers around the UK.Developed catchment risk assessments for 12 borehole sites throughout the Ebro Valley, Northern Spain, to understand potential risks from pesticides. Followed by a field consolidation visit to ground-truth and further define the risks ahead of a proposed groundwater monitoring programme.Designing and undertaking hydraulic conductivity testing at multiple sites in the UK and responsible for analysing data from over 1000 individual tests conducted as part of the project throughout Europe. Writing numerous initial Phase 1 site investigation reports and designing site investigations for those where a potential risk to groundwater was identified.
