I have been fixated with climbing the corporate ladder since I started my career years ago, however I have since come to realise that it is not the job title or paycheck that bring joy, but spending time focusing on what matters. For me that is spending time pushing my marketing ability to try and deliver something worthwhile and that I can be proud of.I have had multiple roles and have adapted well within all, learning something from each that I have been able to take to subsequent roles, however it is within digital marketing that I have found my career. The digital sphere is ever evolving, what was once true a couple of years ago, may well be an out-dated practice now; this need to research the current and upcoming technologies is something I enjoy. Coupled this with the vast array of tasks available on a day-to-day basis, from PPC, SEO and Display to Social Media, Website Development, Graphic Design and Analytics there really is never a dull day. Also, being somewhat of a tech geek, I do appreciate the technology available to learn, understand and utilise - Dreamweaver for HTML & CSS, Photoshop & Illustrator for graphic design, the Google suite of My Business, Search Console, Tag Manager, Ads, Analytics, Mailchimp for Emails, Facebook Business Manager, differing CMS systems, third party applications for monitoring websites such as Hotjar, Moz and Mixpanel, the list goes on!With this continuous development of technology, there is always an on-going project to maintain best practice, and taking ownership of these projects is definitely a highlight of the more senior role. I relish the responsibility so never turn down the opportunity to lead a new venture or development. With the experience of managing many digital activities and the ability to use multiple software, I find excitement in learning the project requirements then testing my knowledge and skills to form the most appropriate plan by means of communication channels and software.
