Worked on the automation of a new ballistic shell production line, involving extensive use of surface modelling to replicate complex geometries. Also provided analysis and recommendations on molding processes and tool failures, including ROI analysis of procuring new tools and construction of experiments to gather empirical data. Made use of a variety of available additive manufacturing methods (FDM, Polyjet, SLA) for prototyping, and laser scanning equipment for dimensional inspection.

Worked primarily on upgrading a weigh-filling machine to be compliant with NSF meat and poultry regulations. This involved becoming acutely familiar with the details of the hygiene requirements (i.e. product contact areas; drip zones; minimum bend radii; continuous welding), modifying existing designs and proactively coming up with new designs for systems which were not adaptable. Additional projects included the initial development of a novel downstream packaging system for pre-rolls and reverse engineering a cartoning machine.
