About Liam Mannix

I am a multi-award winning national science reporter for The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, as well as Nine's other stable of mastheads. I won the 2020 Walkley Award for Short Feature Writing, the 2019 Eureka Prize for Science Journalism, and has twice won the Walkley Young Journalist of the Year (Innovation) award, along with several other awards. I was invited to become a fellow of the Constructive Institute in Aarhus, Denmark, where I spent five months developing best-practice guidelines for reporting on climate science.

I also filed regular TV current affairs pieces for the show.; Interned for one week in Melbourne. Worked as a journalist, filing stories for Crikey newsletter and website. (Jan - March 2011) Australian Rowing Championships - Internship Worked as part of a team to promote the Australian Rowing Championships. Wrote press releases and athlete profiles under the direction of Hughes PR.
