As a slickline operator I am responsible for the preparation and maintenance of equipment related to all aspects of Well Service operations. This ranges from downhole tools, pressure control equipment, diesel driven and electric wireline units, and pump units. I am also competent at pressure testing. Throughout most of my offshore career I have worked on multiskill crews, so this has enabled me to gain experience in other aspects of well service operations. I am frequently used on high pressure pumping jobs, as well as e-line jobs. I have experience doing both maintenance and testing work on wellhead trees. I have also gained quite a lot of experience working with explosives in both slickline and e-line operations. With all these operations, I am also involved with the risk assessment process, and frequently take on a performing authority role on the Permit To Work system. I pride myself on my ability to carry out whatever is needed in a safe and timely manner, providing I am competent to do so.

Throughout my 6+ years at Halliburton I gained a lot of experience in the Oil Industry.As I was an apprentice I initially did off the job training for one year. After that I did one year working in the Halliburton workshops. Most of my time was spent in the Slickline workshop, learning downhole tools, pressure testing, and diesel mechanic skills. I also spent significant time in the Completions, Tubing Conveyed Perforating, and Versaflex workshops during this time.I went offshore in the summer of 2014, and that has been my primary occupation ever since. I worked initially as a Slickline Trainee, and then as a Slickline Operator for Halliburton, both in the North Sea (UK sector) and abroad. I also carried out land work. During this phase of my career I continued to work in the workshops in my spare time, always striving to learn and improve.

Sultanate Of Oman

While in school in Oman I worked as a Swimming Instructor for students on weekends. This helped me to work on my communication skills as I was teaching kids from all backgrounds, some of which had limited English. This also improved my teamwork as we taught in pairs, so often had to collaborate on lesson plans to ensure class was exciting but still relevant to the course structure we were working to.

Whilst attending The American International School of Muscat (TAISM) in Oman I worked part time as a pool lifeguard. The qualification included CPR,AED, first aid and rescue training.
