Shad is a STEAM and entrepreneurship program for students in grades 10 and 11, where they live on campus and participate in a real-world design challenge that prepares them to take on social and economic challenges. As a Program Assistant, I was responsible for the education, mentorship, and safety of the Shad participants. I was in charge of delivering a set of academic workshops which involved creating lesson plans and content for a beginner audience. Overall, this was a very packed month where both the students and team members were engaged and developed at a very fast pace. Therefore, the skills I developed the most revolved around moderation, resilience, and proper communication.

This course covers the basic types of measurement of many fundamental physical phenomena, including time, distance, displacements, speed, rates, force, flow, temperature, pressure, stress and strain, and frequency.
