Just like an employed GM/MD/COO, I act as a strategic partner with the owner/Visionary, turn the leadership team into a group of people who can run the day-to-day without the business owner's constant intervention, help achieve an environment of accountability and drive the execution of the vision by the leadership team (and, by extension, the rest of the organisation).I do this by holding regular "Same Page Meetings" with the owner/Visionary, run weekly leadership team meetings, regularly meet with the leadership team members on a one-to-one, drive execution of agreed goals and measurables among the leadership team on an ongoing basis and take on any quarterly goals as required (e.g. recruiting a replacement for a key member).

I started my career with the GO Group as a Systems and Networks Engineer within the ISP subsidiary, maltanet. I later moved on to a managerial role responsible of the company’s operation on a 24x7 basis within the Network Operations Centre. I occupied this role for 4 years managing both the internal operation together with customer-facing technical operations. Following the merger between the retail and wholesale Internet subsidiaries of the Group, I moved on to a commercial role within the GO Business Division. I started off by building and managing the business sales team for all fixed line operations. Within my latest role I managed a team of technical sales executives, including pre-sales Engineers, managing the Group’s Enterprise accounts and Government.
