Ottawa-based clothing company created in the wake of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Focusing on expressing the City's vibe, a collective of recent grads and young professionals decided to be proactive and learn to ins-and-outs of entrepreneurship. As co-founder, I am on the ground floor of all business decisions with a focus on branding, digital marketing and networking.

For this position, I worked as the marketing lead for everything that was both IT-Experts as well as subsidiary brand as well. I created a marketing plan that involved digital ads and social media messaging. I achieved higher than industry average engagement rates and saw our socials account for almost 20% of all website traffic on average. This strategy involved the creation, writing and graphic design of all external communications using a wide arrangement of software. I also created weekly dashboards for senior management synthesizing all the KPIs and metrics and extracting the business opportunities from them.

As Marketing Manager, I had many responsibilities. Although I worked primarily for VaroWP, I also worked on 3 other brands (Christina Brum Financial, Avvibo and ProfitHarbour) simultaneously. I set up all the social media accounts for these brands and then created/scheduled all the social media posts till 2021 on various platforms. For VaroWP in particular, I was able to organically grow the brand to see an almost 10k reach in 2 months. I monitored all the accounts on a daily basis as well as oversaw PPC performance. I helped out with blog content and ensured it would lead to good SEO. Finally, I synthesized marketing data and KPIs from all sources to produce a weekly dashboard to present to management. This dashboard data was pulled from multiple sources (Google Analytics, Cyfe, Business Manager) and presented actionable steps to improve our brand.

In this summer position, I was working with the Canadian Space Agency's Industry Relations team. In this position, I:- Helped in the development and logistics of several Industry networking events - Drafted event-related social media posts (Twitter) and setting up department event portal and presenting it to other department members- Worked with the communications team to ensure government-communications protocols were met and adhered to while simultaneously making sure the message content was of the highest quality - Media Monitoring for any Space-related news both at home and abroad.- Issued daily reports with up to date metrics on events (registration numbers, breakdowns, further required actions) - Various forms of G2B interactions with multinational space companies.

With 10 years of service working within the city, I have held many different positions from working the clock during men's league games to being the Head Instructor for the On-Ice portion of summer camps. My tenure with the City has helped me develop as a person and learn many necessary skills that I can apply in a workplace setting. I founded this company in 2017 off of almost 10 years experience in the field. I am the sole executor of all business related activities, especially marketing. I have made a lot of connections through years through networking and have also come up with effective and efficient marketing campaigns, given my resources.

In this position, I was a project assistant for the Public Enquiries Unit. My main responsibilities were:- First point of contact for clients, responding to their queries and requests (highest personal volume was over 100+ calls) - Modernized the department’s training program, including training new hires and being the point of contact for other team members on new software - Created a briefing and supporting documents for senior management, requiring synthesizing information from several departments

In this line of work, I had several different duties. I did data entry and analysis of new contracts coming in, as well as use multiple software (FASAT, CRM, Excel) to come up with a business decision regarding the applicants. Equally, there was a lot of front line customer service and internal and external communication. The short length of this work experience was due to its nature: it was only a short term contract.

In this field of work, I held many different positions. I was an agent for the call center, being on the frontline for customer service. I always did data input and coding. This job taught me problem solving skills, customer services as well as data entry.
