After 20 years working in the broadcast television industry including BSkyB, QVC UK, GMTV, chellomedia, Channel 9, TVNZ, Reuters Television, I used my knowledge of managing teams and Microsoft technology platforms to work at various startups in the London.My experience in creating robust Microsoft technology solutions was used at Huddle as part of the team of architects converting a legacy monolith to a micro service architecture based on messaging. This also provided the opportunity to work on applications with the mobile teams, helping create testable architectures and focusing on security requirements by enterprise clients.Huddle supported the sharing of my knowledge with community user groups and conferences such as DDD in the UK, NDC in Oslo, Australia and Portugal as well as conferences in Lithuania and Poland.I have a pragmatic attitude to development and include agile practices such as unit testing, continuous integration and regular development previews for clients. I utilise development management tools to enable client input into the development process and to break down complex work items to produce accurate and realistic delivery dates.In April 2012 I was presented with a Microsoft MVP Award in C# Development to recognise my contributions to the developer community in the past year on the topic of software development. This was after being presented with a Microsoft MVP Award in Virtual Machines in April 2010 and 2011.Specialties: Comprehensive knowledge of C# and the .Net Framework.
