My duties involved working with the Cooperative's Sitka team on their Evergreen ILS, using Perl and Javascript. I was also available for 24 hour emergency support and used the PostgreSQL database to ensure quality metadata. Additionally, I provided reporting to administration to help guide the services offered by the BC Libraries Cooperative.

I worked as a part of the virtual services team that brings new and exciting services to the Markham community, as well as improving current services and customers' experiences. I wrote scripts for the Symphony ILS and worked with the City of Markham's IT staff to ensure that library information technology was stable and state-of-the-art.

Created a data mining application to retrieve comments from YouTube, Blogspot.com, Twitter, and Flickr. Once the data was stored, I was part of the team that coded the data for the presence of affect within the comments.

I worked with the Evergreen Open Source Integrated Library System. I also worked with Drupal. My daily activities included running SQL reports for librarians, writing Perl scripts, and tracking down issues within the Evergreen system.

I modified and created functionality for Western University websites. I helped create and design a system to change the transfer of proctored exams from using USB keys to using a web based interface. As well, I designed and created a mass email request system that simplified the process of requesting a mass email, as well as recording valuable statistics about mass emails.
