But somehow when I sit down to write stuff for myself, every single word escapes me. I feel as awkward as that time the French exchange boy tried to hug me and I went for a handshake. *ground-pls-swallow-me-up*So trust me when I say I know exactly how you feel about writing.I feel the same when I write for myself. But when I write for others (aka you, hi there), I’m a freaking GENIUS lemme tell you.Anyway, you clicked over here to learn a little bit about me, I assume? So let’s cover the basics off the bat.My earliest memory of writing goes all the way back to primary school. Before you were allowed to use an actual real-life PEN in class, you had to master your handwriting in pencil. And I spent hours and hours and hours repeating the same letters over and over again to get it spot on. And then one annoying girl in my class pipped me to the post and upgraded to pen before me. It was devastating.After that though, and fuelled by finally getting pen privileges, the Writing Bug had caught me. I didn’t know what I wanted to write because I didn’t have the wildest imagination, but I knew I wanted to turn blank pages into pages full of words, whatever they ended up being. So that’s what I do now.Quite frankly, I’m a copywriter because I freakin’ love it.But that’s a little selfish, isn’t it? You want to hear about how I’m super passionate and excited to help you and I only write copy because of the huge impact it will have on your business.So yes, that’s all true too. I do absolutely adore getting to know your business and translating all of that juicy goodness in your head into words that will have your clients literally throwing their money at you.Ultimately, copywriting is all about psychology. It’s about what’s in your brain, what’s in your clients’ brains and what words we can use to connect the two and make your’s and your clients’ dreams come true. Without an insight into brains, copy is dull as sh*t. (AKA most of the corporate world.)🚫 If you want dull, dry, jargon-fuelled copy that sends you to sleep, you’re in the wrong place.🥳 If you want creative, magical, storytelling copy that sends your clients into a blaze of excitement at the prospect of working with you, you’re in the right place.
